Meet EIS Financial Services brand ambassador Melanie Woods. Melanie’s journey from PE teacher to participation in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games is an inspiration to us all.
EIS Financial Services Ltd. are proud to announce Melanie Woods as our Brand Ambassador .
In 2018, Melanie’s was hit by a car that failed to see her whilst she was out cycling. From then on the life of the 23 year old PE teacher changed forever as Melanie suffered a number of injuries which included trauma to her spinal cord resulting in paralysis from the waist down.
In the months that followed, Melanie’s determination and love of sport seen her joining her local club of wheelchair racers and since then she has gone from strength to strength. Within 2 years Melanie was selected by the senior team to represent GB&NI at the European Championships and then to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games in the 400m & 800m where she finished 5th.
Earlier this year Melanie competed in the British Wheelchair Athletics Grand Prix on the 9th of July and the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. In September Melanie will join the team at EIS Financial Services for our annual team building event & bring us up to speed on her future plans.
